George V. Tsimoyianis, M.D.
Dr. Tsimoyianis has been with Darien Pediatric Associates since 1987. He holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He is also an Attending Physician in the Pediatrics Department at the Stamford Hospital, and has courtesy privileges at the Greenwich Hospital.
After earning his medical degree from the New York Medical College, Dr. Tsimoyianis' postgraduate training led him to the Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein Medical School in the Bronx, New York, where he held an Internship and Residency in the Department of Pediatrics. He rounded out his education with a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Schneider Children's Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
Dr. Tsimoyianis' research has focused on the effects of passive smoking on pulmonary function in adolescent athletes. He has been a consultant for several local school communities regarding this and other health matters of consequence to teenagers.
John M. Dubaz, M.D.
Dr. John Dubaz grew up in New York City and attended Millbrook School before receiving his AB degree in Physical Sciences from Harvard College. He then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at Bridgeport and Yale-New Haven Hospitals serving as Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Dubaz joined Darien Pediatric Associates in 1989. He is on the medical staff at both Greenwich and Stamford Hospitals, and holds a teaching appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified in Pediatrics.
Dr. Dubaz is a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the AAP Committee on School Health and has served as School Physician for Stamford Public Schools. He is particularly interested in learning problems and ADHD in elementary school children. He enjoys basketball, bicycling and skiing and is fluent in Italian.
Surekha Shenoy, M.D.
Dr. Surekha Shenoy joined Darien Pediatric Associates in 2007. Prior to this she worked at Trumbull Pediatrics and at the Children's Health Center in Stamford.
Dr. Shenoy earned her medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India and then completed post-graduate courses in public health at the University of Texas in Houston. She served her pediatric residency at St. Joseph Children's Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey.
Dr. Shenoy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She is fluent in two Indian languages (Kannada and Konkani) and lives in Stamford with her husband and two daughters, ages five and seven. She is especially interested in childhood obesity and nutrition, as well as being a strong advocate for breast feeding. She enjoys classical music particularly the violin, reading and travelling.
